Our Story

Steven and Ghada’s journey began worlds apart, yet fate had plans to bring them together. What started as conversations across time zones quickly grew into something deeper: a bond built on laughter, shared values, and the kind of love that makes distances disappear.

Through visits, calls, and countless moments both big and small, their connection only grew stronger. From exploring Cairo’s streets to making memories in New York, every step brought them closer to this moment.

Their love blossomed naturally, built on trust, joy, and a shared belief that they were meant for each other. Every mile traveled and every memory made was a step toward forever.

Now, surrounded by the people who mean the most to them, Steven and Ghada are overjoyed to begin the next chapter of their lives, side by side, forever.

Although the wedding itself will take place at NŪT Boutique Farm Lodge in Obour (Ahmed Orabi area), we recommend that guests stay in downtown Cairo.

Downtown offers the most to do, from restaurants and shops to historic sites, and it’s also the most convenient area for transportation and exploring the city during your stay.

Getting around Cairo and wedding day transportation

Getting Around Cairo

Uber and hotel-arranged drivers are the easiest ways to get around the city. Most hotels in central Cairo can help arrange trusted private drivers if you prefer not to use Uber. The wedding venue, Nūt Boutique Farm Lodge, is about 1 hour from downtown Cairo.

Wedding Day Transportation

We’ll share more details closer to the date regarding transportation to and from the wedding venue. Depending on where guests are staying, we may coordinate group shuttles from central hotels or help organize private drivers. Either way, we’ll make sure everyone has a clear plan to arrive on time and return safely afterward.

Arrival & Visa

  • U.S. and most international guests can get a visa on arrival at Cairo International Airport.
  • The cost is $25 USD (cash) — small bills are best.
  • ATMs and exchange counters are available, but it’s easiest if you bring cash with you.


Transportation in Cairo

  • Uber works well in Cairo and is recommended for most trips.
  • Hotels can also arrange private drivers (good for day trips or airport pickup).
  • The wedding venue is about 1 hour from downtown Cairo.


Currency in Egypt

The local currency is the Egyptian Pound (EGP). Credit cards are widely accepted in major hotels, restaurants, and shops, but it’s useful to have some cash for taxis, markets, and tips. ATMs are easy to find throughout Cairo.
